Katy Perry Reveals The Hilarious Reason She Was Suspended From Grade School
Katy Perry was a very naughty schoolgirl back in the day.
In a post on her Instagram Story over the weekend, the singer revealed the hilarious reason why she got suspended in the 6th grade, when she was a student at Santa Barbara Christian School. She posted a screenshot of the 1996 suspension report after finding it at her parents’ house.
“At the 2:00 p.m. recess, Katy and four other students were in an ‘off-limits’ area (behind the backboards) practicing a skit,” the report reads. “Katy pretended that a tree was Tom Cruise and began making sexual motions (pelvic thrusts) to the tree.”
The report goes on to detail other incidents involving Katy’s conduct.
“On October 17, she was called into my office to discuss her use of inappropriate language (‘p***ed off’ and calling 3rd grades ‘brats’) and using the Lord’s name in vain (saying, ‘oh my God’),” the report says.
It continues, “She has also admitted being previously involved in playing ‘Spin the Bottle’ and ‘Truth or Dare’ which resulted in students kissing on the cheek. She was told then that any more inappropriate behavior would result in a suspension.”
Katy also sparked scandal by “doing the Macarena dance” and wearing “crop tops” to school.
Katy captioned the Instagram post, “WHEN I WAS SUSPENDED IN 6TH GRADE FOR HUMPING A TREE AND I GUESS OTHER STUFF.”
In other Katy news, on Sunday, she wished her boyfriend Orlando Bloom a happy 42nd birthday, calling him “the kindest and cutest man I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with.”
