PORTLAND, Ore. — There’s a hot, new name in the competitive field of golf apparel named I’D Golf.  As in – Idaho Golf or I’d rather be golfing.

KXL’s Brett Reckamp caught up with I’D Golf Co-Founder Nick Frye and his partner Zach at last weekend’s Portland Golf Show.  Nick says they are trying to set up shop at golf shows around the Northwest.  He talks about their young company and how things have really taken off lately.  He says some of their designs now feature a golf version of Sasquatch and that’s been a hit.

Pretty much everything I’D Golf makes is about the Northwest.  They like to plant sometimes subtle things like state trees into their designs.  They also prominently feature other items a lot of people who live in Oregon, Washington and Idaho are proud of like even area codes.

Nick and his partners say with a little luck they’ll be able to do this full time someday soon.

Below is a portion of Brett & Nick’s conversation as heard on Portland’s Morning News.
