A big shake up today at NBC as the entire cast of the long-running soap opera “Days Of Our Lives” were let out of their deals.  This means they’re all free to get new jobs, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the show is cancelled.

‘Days’ has been on air since 1965, for more than 50 years, and will go on an indefinite hiatus.  The network execs will decide in early 2020 whether to bring it back for season 56 or not.  The good news for now, is the show shoots 8 months in advance.  This means there are enough episodes in the bank to keep it running through Summer 2020.

So at this point, ‘Days’ is NOT cancelled yet.  It is possible they’ll bring the cast back, but with lower pay.  So far, no official word from NBC.
