Portland, Ore. — A man was shot to death in Southeast Portland’s Centennial neighborhood Thursday morning. The incident took place in an apartment near Southeast Bush Street and Southeast 166th Avenue, with officers responding to the reported shooting at 1:24 a.m.

Upon arrival, the police discovered the injured man, who was subsequently transported to a hospital via ambulance. Despite their efforts to save his life, the man succumbed to his injuries.

As of now, the authorities have not disclosed the identity of the deceased or the specific cause of his death. Details surrounding the fatal shooting remain limited, with no additional information released by the police.

The suspect or suspects involved had already left the scene by the time officers arrived, and no immediate arrests were made. The building where the incident occurred appears to be a fourplex, as noted by KGW reporter Devon Haskins, who was present at the scene.
