‘Wicked: Part Two’ Gets a Name Change Ahead of 2025 Release

Universal Pictures has renamed Wicked: Part Two to Wicked: For Good, inspired by a well-known song from the musical.

The sequel to Wicked will debut on November 21, 2025, following the success of the first part at the box office. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the movie stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the iconic roles of Glinda and Elphaba.
The film is based on Gregory Maguire’s novel, Wicked and offers a fresh perspective on The Wizard of Oz characters, exploring their lives before Dorothy’s arrival in Oz.
The cast of Wicked: For Good also includes Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
