Weekend Box Office: “Sonic” Wins the Race, “Call of the Wild” Is a Loud #2
This weekend, Sonic the Hedgehog outpaced every other film in the country to hold on to the #1 spot. The video game-inspired film pulled in $26.3 million over the weekend. Surprisingly, Harrison Ford’s version of Call of the Wild opened at #2, making $24.8 million at the box office. Birds of Prey hovered at #3, raking in $7 million. At #4 was the horror sequel Brahms: The Boy II with $5.9 million in ticket sales. The #5 spot was taken by Bad Boys for Life, which made about $5.86 over the weekend.
