TOPPENISH, Wash. (AP) – A Washington state man charged with shooting at two people in a parked car has been taken into custody nearly a year after an arrest warrant was issued.

The Yakima Herald reported Sunday that Toppenish police arrested 18-year-old Raheem’a Tighee George Saturday.

Police issued a warrant against George in October 2018 after Yakima County Superior Court charged him with first-degree assault.

Authorities say George was one of two people who shot at a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Toppenish home in August 2018.

Police in the city southeast of Yakima say a 29-year-old man was injured, while a 28-year-old woman in the car was unharmed.

Earlier this month, a superior court judge sentenced Santana Nico Rocha to 10 years in prison for his involvement in the shooting.
