The Chainsmokers are dropping a new song on Friday, on top of a tour kicking off in September and a new album, possibly called World War Joy, due out at some point this year.
But what about that movie they’re supposed to be making that’s based on their hit song “Paris?” Speaking to ABC Radio, Drew Taggart says you’ll definitely hear them in it…but seeing them in it’s another story.
“We sold our first film, based on ‘Paris,’ to TriStar and we’re in development with them right now,” says Drew.
“I don’t know if we’re gonna act in it,” he adds. “We’re definitely gonna have a hand in making the music, curating it, and probably remixing some of our older songs.”
Prior to their World War Joy tour in September with 5 Seconds of Summer and Lennon Stella, The Chainsmokers will be busy with deejay and festival gigs. Most of the festivals are overseas, but the deejay gigs are all the Wynn Las Vegas, at either the property’s XS Nightclub or Encore Beach Club.
