TACOMA, Wash. (AP) – Authorities say a convicted rapist who was released from prison Saturday has been arrested in Enumclaw after cutting off his GPS tracker.

The News Tribune reports when 41-year-old Ronald Clayton was released from prison he told authorities he planned to stay at the Tacoma Rescue Mission.

Sometime between then and Monday, authorities say Clayton cut off the GPS ankle bracelet that reported his location.
