Kesha is setting sail on the high seas this weekend and she’s bringing Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness along for the ride. Can you believe?!

The Weird & Wonderful Rainbow Ride Fan Cruise kicks off Sunday, February 17 from Tampa, Florida and sails to Nassau, Bahamas. Along the way, there will be various forms of entertainment, including multiple appearances by JVN.

The self-care guru explains how he got involved: “I got an email from Kesha’s team and they were like, ‘Do you wanna come, like, do your podcast live on this cruise?’ And I was like, ‘Yes.’ And they’re like, ‘We’re also gonna have some gorgeous, like, drag competitions, do you wanna be a guest judge?’ And I was like, ‘Uh-huh.’”

Then they asked if he would do some stand-up comedy on the cruise.

“At the time I had done stand-up like five times and I was like, ‘Um, I dunno, lemme get back to you, like, lemme see how these next few months go,’” he says. “And it was great, so I’m gonna do some stand-up, so yeah it’ll be really fun.”

Other than that, Jonathan says he’s never been on a cruise ship before so he doesn’t really know what to expect.

“Is it just like gorgeous food moments and like, uh, I wonder if there’s an ice-skating rink on this one?” he ponders.

Not sure about the ice-skating rink, but the four-day cruise will feature activities such as “Lip Sync for Your Lifeboat,” hosted by Kesha, and a variety of costumed theme nights.
