PORTLAND, Ore.– Anheuser-Busch buys Portland’s Craft Brew Alliance for $220 million . The transaction means Anheuser Busch takes ownership of the rose city company that makes Widmer beer. it also includes other well known beers like kona and Redhook. This liason and purchase was not a surprise the craft brew alliance says combining resources talent and dynamic brands will allow for contiuing innovation to meet the changing needs of today’s beverage consumers. CBA is the nations 12th largest brewer producing more than 719 thousands barrels of beer last year.
