One Year After A Push From a Bridge No Changes
VANCOUVER, WA—No Jumping or Diving signs have not been stopping people from jumping off the Moulton Falls Bridge in Clark County. It was just a year ago that Jordan Holgerson was pushed off by friend Taylor Smith. The then 16 year old suffered 5 broken ribs and a punctured lung. She basically did a belly flop falling into the river equal to 6 stories. Smith spent 2 days in jail and 38 days with a work crew.
The Today show story has offered renewed attention to the bridge. During the 2 day visit a reporter saw 12 swimmers jump. Some of them did the same exact thing Smith did to Holgerson , yelling and taunting. Nothing has really changed. The county says it could put up a fence but people would find a way to get around it.
