More Details And Context In the Blake Lively And Justin Baldoni Lawsuits
After Blake Lively elevated her filed complaint against Justin Baldoni to a formal lawsuit alleging severe “emotional distress”, now Baldoni is fighting back with a lawsuit aimed at the New York Times coverage of the dispute.
Baldoni filed a $250 million dollar lawsuit against the New York Times for their coverage of Blake’s complaint against him. His suit claims they featured edited text messages to fit their “PR narrative.”
He seems to bring his own receipts to outline that. Text messages included in Baldoni’s suit seem to add more context to some of Lively’s claims that “he came into her trailer repeatedly uninvited while she was undressed and breastfeeding her infant child.” Texts show she was pumping (breastmilk) and invited him to run lines, to which he responded: “Copy. Eating lunch with the crew then will head over.”
Baldoni also says Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, “aggressively berated him” in their New York apartment during a meeting accusing Baldoni of “fat shaming” his wife. Baldoni admits to asking his personal trainer for an estimate of Lively’s weight to ensure he can safely execute lifting her without injury (due to a bulging disc in his back).
Baldoni’s lawyer told NBC News that they will be suing Lively as well as the New York Times.
