Michigan Teen Learns She’s Valedictorian While Working Drive-Through Window

Now that’s a happy meal! A Michigan teen learned she’s the valedictorian of her graduating class while working the drive-through window at a local Culver’s fast food restaurant this week. Kaitlyn Watson, who attends Grand Traverse Academy in Traverse City, Michigan, was working the drive-through when her school’s secondary principal Michelle Floering drove to tell her the good news — staying in her car, according to social distancing guidelines — and filmed the announcement.

Watson’s school is closed due to COVID-19 concerns, but fast food establishments like Culver’s are still open.
