Why rely on a recorded collabo when you can have the real thing?

The audience at Zedd‘s Coachella Festival set Sunday night scored a surprise treat when Katy Perry joined the DJ on stage in the flesh to perform her part on their “365” collaboration.  She strutted onto the stage as the crowd cheered, wearing a two-piece fuschia outfit draped in a gold metallic net, with matching round gold earrings the size of donuts.

According to California’s Palm Springs Desert Sun, Katy energized the already cranked-up crowd by demanding that they “make some noise” before her part was over.

After Katy left the stage, Zedd reportedly slid into a remix of Whitney Houston‘s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.”

Katy’s cameo during Zedd’s Coachella set wasn’t a total surprise to anyone paying attention.  She and her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, were already at the festival, with Katy even posting a selfie on her Instagram the day before with the dateline of Indio, California — Coachella’s location.
