Judge Rules State Can Proceed With Surgery Plans For Teen With Cancer
Portland, Or. – A judge ruled Monday the State of Oregon can move ahead with plans for surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from 13 year old Kylie Dixon. The girl and her mom, Christina are opposed and had turned to alternative medicine.
Kylie and her Mom took off after ignoring a court order in June. They were found in Nevada, Kylie was placed in protective custody and her Mom has been charged with custodial interference and criminal mistreatment. KGW reports the judge allowed Christina to see her daughter after Monday’s hearing.
