Homeless Could Use Warm Clothing And Other Items

PORTLAND< Ore.–Cold and wind is creating the need for supplies for the homeless.  The Joint office for Homeless Services says blanket, jackets, socks hats and gloves are all needed.  Donations can be made in person at JOIN on N.E. 81st or downtown in old town at Transition Projects on N.W. Hoyt.  Even easier is donating right on your phone  211 info dot org.  a pull down tab will show you a shopping list allowing you to make a cash donation or other contribution.  The chilly season has started a few weeks earlier than usual.  Typically we talk about this kind of need just before Thanksgiving.
