Hallmark Channel to Air 27 Christmas Films; Could Lights Be Coronavirus Decorations?
To deal with the self-quarantine blues, starting Friday, March 20, the Hallmark Channel will air 27 original “Countdown to Christmas” holiday films from recent years. Entertainment Tonight reports that the weekend marathon will start at noon ET with Candace Cameron Bure’s A Christmas Detour. It will end on Sunday with Christmas in Rome with Lacey Chabert, which will air at 6 p.m. ET.
Some are also suggesting putting Christmas lights back up too, according to CNN. “What if we all put our Christmas lights back up?” said Lane Grindle, a broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers. “Then we could get in the car and drive around and look at them. That seems like a fair social distancing activity.” A Rhode Island family had the same idea and posted about it online as well. “Times are dark and there’s light to be spread,” said Holly Griffin. “Now more than ever is a time to be looking outside yourself. I think taking our mental health seriously is really important and just hearing bad news all the time can really make that multiply.”
