Eight Overdoses In Pearl District Linked To Possible Fentanyl-Laced Powder

Portland, Ore. — Portland police responded to eight individuals who suffered overdoses on Monday morning in the Pearl District, near the North Park Blocks. Preliminary investigations indicate that the affected individuals ingested a substance believed to be laced with fentanyl.
Out of the eight individuals, four were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The remaining four overdose victims declined transportation, as confirmed by police officials.
The incidents occurred in the vicinity of Northwest Couch Street and Park Avenue. At approximately 10 a.m., emergency responders, including firefighters and paramedics, swiftly arrived at the scene with ambulances ready to transport those in need.
