Clackamas County, Ore. –  7:22 AM Update from  Oregon State Police

On November 25, 2019 at approximately 5:30am Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a pedestrian fatal on I-205 near milepost 13.

Preliminary investigation indicates unit #1 was traveling northbound when they struck a pedestrian who was standing in the middle of I205. Shortly after that law-enforcement received several calls of a hazard in the middle of the road on I -205. While units were responding, unit # 2 also struck the pedestrian.

Both drivers are cooperating with the investigation. All lanes of northbound I-205 are closed and are not expected to open for at least an hour but a detour has been established. Refer to ODOT Tripcheck (www.tripcheck.com) for updated road conditions.

An early morning traffic back up on I-205 north in Clackamas was caused by a deadly crash involving a pedestrian.  It’s unclear why the person was on the freeway. But Oregon State police are on scene investigating. No word yet on when 205 North may reopen. We’ve reached out to police for more info.
