Couple Diverts Wedding Budget To Rescue Injured Stray Dog

Dylan McCay rescued an abandoned Goldendoodle on the side of the road in Arkansas that was stranded and close to death.  The dog was most-likely hit by a car and in such bad shape that it needed a surgery that was over $10,000.  So he and his fiancée Emily cut into their wedding fund to make it happen.  

Emily said, “So this dog was basically just surrendered to the hospital, and so we kind of like looked at each other and looked at the dog, and we were just like we know what we have to do.”

They even went as far as to travel to Mississippi for the extensive surgery that was a total success!  No microchip was found either, and later they discovered the owner had been looking to rehome the dog.  So now, they are looking forward to bringing her home to join their family and name it after a food item like their other dogs. The middle name will be Acklin, because that’s street they found her nearby.
