City Of Portland Sued Over Throwing Out Homeless Possessions

PORTLAND, Ore–Four homeless have filed a class action lawsuit against the city of Portland,  on behalf of campers who were swept and never got their stuff back.  Things like tents, bicycles, sleeping bags and even clothes were never returned to them.

Rapid Response is one of the companies named in the lawsuit. All items taken from homeless during sweeps were supposed to be photographed and cataloged.  Items should have been safely stored.  Oregon law states the belongings of homeless should be kept in a safe place for 30 days.
