Celebrating Portland’s Weirdest

Portland, Or. – A Weird Portland Gala is planned for tomorrow night to raise money for a new non profit dedicated to keeping the Rose City weird. Weird Portland United is run by Brian Kidd, the Unipiper.

The event will be held at Polaris Hall and will include the unveiling of the Keep Portland Weird Hall of Fame. Kidd says four inductees will be announced.

On a sad note, Rojo The Llama will not be there. The popular therapy animal is to be euthanized today due to health issues. Kidd says tomorrow night ” will turn into a bit of a tribute for Rojo, for sure.”
