Cardi B And Bruno Mars Reveal New Collab

Well, that didn’t last long.  Just over a day after Cardi B deactivated her Instagram, it was back up Wednesday to deliver some big news.

“Ok so I’m back from retirement to announce I have a brand new song coming out Friday at midnight with @brunomars,” Cardi wrote, along with a promo photo of her and Bruno Mars.  Cardi added the hashtag “#twogrammywinningartist,” which had to feel pretty good.

Cardi deactivated her Instagram Monday after she posted an expletive-filled video punching back against haters who said she didn’t deserve to win the Best Rap Album Grammy Sunday night — the first solo female artist ever to win that award.

“I’m seeing a lot of b******* today and I saw a lot of s*** last night, and I’m sick of this s***,” a clearly angry Cardi said, in part.  “I work hard for my motherf****** album.  I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed.’ Now this year’s a f****** problem?”

For his part, Bruno also posted the promo image on his Instagram, with the much shorter message “NEW SONG ON FRIDAY!”

It’s not the first time Cardi and Bruno have collaborated — they performed together during the 2018 Grammys, where Bruno went home with Record, Album and Song of the Year.
