Camila Cabello and Jimmy Fallon sing “Google Translate Songs” on ‘The Tonight Show’
Andrew Lipovsky/NBCCamila Cabello was Jimmy Fallon‘s musical guest on Thursday’s Tonight Show, where she joined him for a game of “Google Translate Songs,” where they sang popular tunes whose lyrics were interpreted by the search engine’s translation service.
For instance: Billie Eilish‘s “Bad Guy” became “Evil Young Boy,” with the lyrics becoming, “An evil young boy/That sounds like a bumpy boy/Just can’t get enough guy/Sternum’s under pressure/My text is evil/Your mom gets kind of weird/My daughter’s a desert/Eliminate your dad/I’m an evil boy, ghosts.”
The chorus of Smash Mouth‘s “All Star,” turned into “Ahoy, you’re the hot ball/fun is happy, hang out/Ahoy, you’re the stone man/entertain me, have cash/Shiny things are not metal/But the rocket bursts smash the fungus.”
Finally, the two dueted on Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me” — a.k.a. “I’m Not the Self.”
In a call and response, Camila sang, “I was spotted on the mantle,” to which Jimmy answered, “I’m not the self.”
Previous editions of “Google Translate Songs” have featured Kelly Clarkson and Miley Cyrus.
Later, Camila performed “Living Proof,” from her new album Romance, out now.
