BTS sets new YouTube record with latest “ON” music video

Bighit EntertainmentBTS continues to dominate YouTube with their massively popular music videos.

The K-pop sensations’ latest music video, for “ON,” scored the biggest YouTube Premiere of all time. According to the video sharing platform, 1.54 million concurrent viewers tuned in for the video’s debut through YouTube Premieres — a feature that helps turn a music video release into an event that fans and artists can experience together.

The video for “ON,” released Thursday, was the second visual BTS released for the song. The first was a dance-heavy clip titled “‘ON’ Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima.” That video earned 46.5 million views in its first 24 hours, making it the fifth-biggest music debut in YouTube history. Their video for “Boy with Luv,” featuring Halsey, is the number-one biggest 24-hour YouTube debut.

In disappointing BTS news, the group was forced to cancel a series of their MAP OF THE SOUL concert dates set for Seoul, South Korea in April due to concerns about a soaring outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus in the country.
