BTS headed for another number-one album debut with ‘Map of the Soul: 7’

To the surprise of no one, K-pop superstars BTS are on track to score their fourth number-one U.S. album.
The group’s new release, Map of the Soul: 7 is expected to debut on top of the Billboard 200 album chart with first-week sales as many as 300,00 units.
BTS’ last three albums, released in April of 2019, September of 2018 and June of 2018, all hit number one.
Billboard notes that unlike many acts who goose album sales by tying them to concert ticket purchases, BTS is experiencing strong sales without a similar promotion. However, the group has made four different collectible CD packages available, each with a photo book, lyric book, postcard, sticker, poster and notebook and a photo card. They did the same thing with their last three number-one albums.
Tonight, BTS will appear on The Late, Late Show with James Corden to participate in “Carpool Karaoke.” We can’t wait to see Corden attempt to sing in Korean.
