A Texas 12-year-old suffering from terminal cancer is getting to live out his dream in the biggest way!

Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel was just six years old when he  found out he had brain and spine cancer, which had led to 13 surgeries since.

His father says despite his son’s daily fight for his life, he enjoys dreaming about being a real police officer one day. That is why hundreds of police departments across the country and even agencies overseas have dubbed him an honorary officer.  The latest was Birmingham, Alabama.

DJ’s grand total of honorary swear-ins is now 905 after Birmingham swore him in, including international ones. In August, DJ traveled to Italy to be a part of their military force with law enforcement duty.

“What I say on a daily basis is – believe in God, stay safe, stay positive, be kind to other people, pray for kids that have cancer, and don’t be mean to people.”
