Blazer Fans Raise Money For ‘We love you, Nurkic’ Billboard
Trailblazer fans everywhere were devastated by the horrific injury Portland center Jusuf Nurkic sustained in Monday’s game versus the Brooklyn Nets.
The Blazers were able to clinch a playoff spot but there wasn’t much celebrating happening after losing the Bosnian Beast to a serious leg injury for the rest of the season. While Nurkic is expected to make a full recovery, there is no timetable for his return to basketball activity.

But in true Blazer fashion, fans decided to continue their support of Nurkic by starting a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for a “We love you, Nurkic’ billboard. The estimated cost would be about $8,000 and as of Thursday afternoon, the donations have exceeded the goal.
No word on where the billboard will be placed. Excess donations to the GoFundMe will also be donated to “a worthy nonprofit (tentatively the Trail Blazers Foundation).”
