Wondering how Pink pulled off the special effects in her latest music video for “Walk Me Home”? In a behind-the-scenes clip, the singer gives us a glimpse at how she was able to dance with shadows.
“It’s a magic trick, essentially, and it’s that you can be completely surrounded but completely alone,” Pink explains. “And it’s gonna be really beautiful and something no one has ever seen before.”
The clip shows footage of Pink performing the choreography with a group of backup dancers, who were then digitally removed so it looked like she’s dancing with just their shadows. We also see filming of the stunning sequence where she performs a routine with her own shadow projected onto the side of a building.
Pink predicts in the BTS clip that the video is “gonna be really, really, really, possibly the most beautiful thing I’ve ever done.”
The video, shot on the Universal backlot, was directed by The Greatest Showman’s Michael Gracey and co-directed by Stuart Bowen.
“Walk Me Home” is the first single from Pink’s upcoming album Hurts 2B Human, out April 26.
