Ariana Grande warns she may have to cancel shows due to illness

On Friday, Ariana performed in Charlottesville, VA, but on Saturday, she posted a lengthy note on her Instagram story saying, āIām still very sick. Iām been sick since the last London show [on October 16].Ā I donāt know how itās possible but my throat and head are still in so much pain. I sound okay, Iām just in a lot of pain and itās difficult to breathe during the show.ā
She goes on to says that sheās seeing doctors and trying to get better before Sunday nightās show in Lexington, KY.
āThe last thing I would ever want to do is cancel a show at this point with so few left,ā she writes. āIām truly cherishing every moment of thisā¦I just really donāt know whatās happening with my body right now and need to figure it out.ā
She then says we should take the note as a āgentle heads up,ā noting, āI donāt want anyone to feel blindsided tomorrow if God forbid I canāt make the show happen.ā
The Grammy-winning star assures fans sheās āon all the meds, getting IV drips, doing everything I possibly can to pull through,ā but admits itās ājust a scary feeling.ā
āLove you with all my heart and will keep you posted,ā she concluded.
