Ariana Grande Releases Official Video For “breathin’”

Remember when Ariana Grande released a video for her song “breathin’” that was nothing but footage of her adorable pet pig?  Well, as many fans assumed, she was just trolling them — the official video for the hit single has now arrived.

The new video finds Ariana isolated: She sings in a bar as sped-up, blurred crowds of people move all around her, sings in a train station as similar sped-up people rush past her, and sings alone while sitting on a pile of luggage.

We also see Ari singing while surrounded by clouds of smoke or steam, and there are a few shots of her with her head literally “in the clouds.”  But by the end of the clip, she herself is high among the clouds, going back and forth on a swing — perhaps it’s a metaphor for how she’s managed to “rise above” or “break through” her sadness and loneliness.

As previously reported, Ariana also gave her new single “thank u, next” its TV premiere today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
