Allison Holker Responds To Backlash Over New Memoir Exposing Secrets From Her Late Husband
Allison Holker tells People Magazine she wanted to tell the truth of things she discovered about her husband, Stephen “tWtich” Boss, to help others in similar circumstances to ask for help.
Boss took his own life at the age of 40 in December of 2022, and Holker shares some discoveries she made in the aftermath about her husband’s struggles. Some family and friends, however, and lashing out saying Holker shouldn’t be airing her late husband’s “dirty laundry” and tarnishing his name to make money.
Among the secrets she discovered were numerous drugs she found in his closet, and that he suffered sexual abuse in his childhood. “I had no clue,” she explains. “It’s very confusing when you think everything’s wonderful, but then you look back and you’re like, ‘Maybe that was a sign?’” She says she hopes her story “can be a beacon of hope to help people see that, if you’re having a low day, lean on someone…to get better, have that hard conversation.”
Her book, “This Far: My Story of Love, Loss and Embracing The Light” is out February 4.
