Every year, 79-year-old Ursula Bannister climbs a mountain in Washington state to pay her respects at the summit where her mom’s ashes were spread. This year, she took a tumble and broke her leg in three places.
A total stranger, who happened to be Air Force airman Troy May, offered to carry her on his back down the mountain. He was there with his fiancee and a friend and learned that emergency crews would take hours to get there. So they put a split on her leg and he carried her down two miles over 3 hours.
