16-Year-Old Falls 500 Feet On Mt. Hood
Mt. Hood, Ore. — The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office reports a 16 year old boy fell about 500 feet while attempting to climb Mt. Hood Monday morning.
The boy fell from the Pearly Gates area and stopped falling in the Devil’s Kitchen area of the mountain.
The Sheriff’s Office says rescuers have but the boy’s leg in a splint and expect to have him off the mountain by late Monday afternoon.
