The two longest-running #1 hits of 2017 were “Despacito” and “Shape of You,” so it’s no surprise that the videos for those two hits top YouTube’s list of the most-viewed music videos of 2017.

The clip for Luis Fonsi’s hit, featuring Daddy Yankee, was the #1 most-viewed music video of the year on YouTube.  It’s also the most-viewed music video in YouTube history, with over 4.4 billion views and counting.

Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” is #2, with more than 2.5 billion views.

But what’s really surprising about YouTube’s top 10 videos of 2017 is that 60% of them are by Latin artists, including J. Balvin, Nicky Jam, Maluma and Enrique Iglesias.  Aside from Ed, the only videos by non-Latin artists are Bruno Mars‘ “That’s What I Like,” Jason Derulo‘s “Swalla,” and DJ Khaled‘s star-studded “I’m the One.”

On YouTube’s list of 2017’s Top Trending videos, Ed Sheeran’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden is #4, while Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl Halftime Show is #5.
